Being an Emotionally Intelligent Leader

Description: "Being an Emotionally Intelligent Leader".

Attendees will be introduced to the aspect of emotional intelligence, more specifically, the Mixed Method Model by Daniel Goleman and how it can influence/impact leadership. Handouts will be provided with a website that participants can use to see where they measure on the components of the model as well as tools to assist in becoming a more emotionally intelligent leader; specifically providing methods for continued growth and improvement in emotional intelligence.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define emotional intelligence
  • List and describe the 5 key components of the mixed model method of emotional intelligence.
  • List the benefits of being an emotionally intelligent leader.
  • List methods to develop emotionally intelligent leaders.
  • demonstrate steps to improve their emotional intelligence.
