This scenario-based presentation follows 'John' through his incarceration, segregation, suicide attempt, and release from jail, providing actionable steps along the way to identify suicide risk and prevent loss of life in your jail. Learners will discuss the benefits of the NIMH validated Ask Suicide Questions (ASQ) screening tool and how to properly mitigate liability by using it as designed. John will face many challenges in jail such as trigger events, holidays, fights with cell mates, and more. Together, we can get help John re-enter the community safely.
