Anthony Paz Jr. began his career in January 2016 with the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department, becoming a Certified Correctional Officer in May of the same year. His career led him to work across all Miami-Dade County jail facilities. In 2019, Anthony assumed the pivotal role of Community Affairs Officer in the MDCR Community Affairs Unit, delving into the rehabilitative aspects of the department and promoting its work through social media and community outreach. Advancing to Correctional Corporal in 2021, Anthony spearheaded an innovative plan of action for enhanced recruitment efforts, revitalizing MDCR's image through diverse media channels and active recruitment strategies.
In his current role as Assistant Public Information Officer since September 2022, Anthony Paz Jr. plays a pivotal role in shaping the public image of the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department. Leveraging his comprehensive understanding of the department's inner workings, he strategically highlights its achievements, initiatives, and community engagement efforts. Anthony actively collaborates with various media channels, both local and statewide, to amplify the department's presence.
