Laura Oblinger is a law enforcement legal advisor with a wealth of experience in both litigation and law enforcement. After graduating with her Juris Doctor from Washburn University, Laura has dedicated nine years to the legal profession, with the past seven years serving as a pivotal member of the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office in Wichita, Kansas.

Laura's legal career began as an assistant district attorney, honing her skills in the intricacies of criminal law. Transitioning to the Sheriff's Office, she has become an indispensable asset, providing in-house training to recruits and instructor development training. Laura's role extends beyond training; she serves as a legal authority, offering advice on the legality of operational and procedural matters and providing guidance on employment matters and disciplinary issues.

Outside of the office, you can find Laura relaxing with her family, cheering on the Kansas State Wildcats, planning her next trip, reading, or baking.
