Sarah E. Wright (she/doc) earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University. She is an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist and Supervisor who has worked clinically with issues of sexual health since 2005. She has engaged in extensive supervision training both domestically and internationally. Currently she teaches classes on the psychology of human sexual behavior and works full time in the counseling center at the University of South Carolina where she has over 15 years of service. She maintains a small private practice and provides training and workshops across the country. She has 3 published book chapters: “Sex and the Cortisoaked Brain” in Sex and Gender: Current Clinical Concepts and Practices; “Live Supervision of Sex Therapy,” which appears in The Art of Sex Therapy Supervision; and “A Cultural Transformation Approach in the Group Treatment of Addiction,” which appears in Innovations in Clinical Practice: Focus on Group, Couples, and Family Therapy. Her first book was published in 2020 entitled Redefining Trauma: Understanding and Coping with a Cortisoaked Brain.
