Description: This session will describe the different types of explosive behavior, early warning signs, strategies to reduce escalation and harm to all people involved. Therapeutic, and non-therapeutic techniques will also be discussed. This session will bring awareness to staff to better deal with people who demonstrate explosive behavior thereby reducing harm and/or injury to all those involved.

Define situations that may manifest violent behavior.
Recognize early warning signs of potential or actual violence.
Demonstrate strategies to reduce/eliminate explosive behaviors.
List the violence prevention policies and procedures for their facility.
