Description: Gender diversity is a real part of our world. But what happens when gender diversity meets a justice system which has long been divided by biological sex? This talk will deconstruct the basics of gender diversity and discuss its relevance for jails, incarcerated persons, and the staff responsible for their management. Suggestions will be offered to maintain the safety and wellbeing of all involved.
